This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Develop and implement strategic account plans aimed at driving revenue growth in hyperscale, colocation, and channel sectors.
• Foster and strengthen relationships with executive and technical decision-makers within customer organizations.
• Discover new opportunities within current accounts and coordinate internal resources to enhance cross-selling and upselling potential.
• Collaborate with other GCG business units to co-create account strategies that broaden our presence in customer organizations with data center exposure.
• Serve as a strategic link across product lines, assisting in translating customer requirements into comprehensive multi-solution proposals that encompass the GCG portfolio.
• Utilize subject matter expertise in power distribution, cabling, cooling, and connectivity to spearhead value-driven sales discussions.
• Partner with engineering and product teams to craft customer-specific, scalable infrastructure solutions.
• Showcase technical solutions that provide clear ROI and align with the evolving infrastructure needs of customers.
• Stay informed on data center trends, emerging technologies, and competitive advancements.
• Represent GCG at significant industry events, trade shows, and customer briefings.
• Maintain accurate pipeline forecasts and customer records utilizing Salesforce and related tools.
• Work collaboratively across functions to ensure seamless execution and high customer satisfaction.
• Provide regular reports on account status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
• 7+ years of experience in B2B sales, including a minimum of 3 years dedicated to selling data center infrastructure products (electrical and low voltage) to colocation operators, hyperscale data centers, or channel partners.
• Demonstrated success in meeting or surpassing sales quotas in a competitive, technical sales atmosphere.
• Strong technical understanding of data center infrastructure, encompassing power systems, cooling, structured cabling, and connectivity solutions.
• Experience collaborating with electrical and low voltage channel partners in the data center ecosystem.
• Established network of relationships within the data center sector, including colocation providers, hyperscale operators, and channel partners.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the capacity to engage both technical and business audiences.
• Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales forecasting techniques.
• Willingness to travel as necessary to meet with clients and partners (up to 50%).
• Competitive compensation structure featuring a base salary ranging from $140,000 to $175,000 per year, depending on relevant experience, along with a performance-based incentive plan.
