This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and coordinate state-focused initiatives to formulate and implement multi-year campaign strategies that prepare designated state legislators to "ratify" the For Our Freedom Amendment, collaborating with the AP’s federal team to ready these states’ congressional delegations for proposing the amendment;

• Act as the primary contact and coordinator for state partners, government affairs firms, and consultants to optimize outcomes and adjust campaign tactics in response to on-the-ground developments;

• Collaborate with leadership in the Programs & Campaigns department to assist in the formulation of state budgets;

• Help lead and synchronize programs that connect our state and federal strategies by ensuring state-level advancements are integrated into our federal efforts;

• Supervise and cultivate one or more Political Managers to support the key strategic objectives of the Programs & Campaigns department;


⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in issue advocacy, campaigns, or nonprofit sectors; including at least 2+ years in legislative campaign roles;

• 3+ years of managerial experience, responsible for decision-making, motivating, and developing team members;

• Exceptional relationship-building abilities; open to diverse perspectives; adaptable to changing circumstances;

• Demonstrated history as a self-starter with the capacity to manage and prioritize multiple tasks while adhering to deadlines;

• Contribute to a comprehensive vision while handling daily details, addressing challenges proactively, and thinking creatively;

• Extensive knowledge of various advocacy, government affairs, and programmatic competencies;

• Exhibits proficient financial management and budget oversight skills while adhering to budgetary constraints;

• Ability to think critically and strategically;

• Willingness to travel as necessary and endure various indoor and outdoor climate conditions;

• Proficient in reading, writing, and cross-functional communication;

• Competent in mathematics;

• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs;

• Proficient in operating a computer and office equipment;
