This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Drive new business development and sales expansion across a range of existing and prospective corporate accounts, particularly within large enterprise organizations.
• Build and enhance strategic relationships with CHROs and senior HR executives to align SHRM’s offerings with the needs of their organizations.
• Perform comprehensive client research to gain business insights, identify challenges, and deliver customized, data-driven solutions to meet client needs.
• Utilize the complete range of SHRM services, including membership, certification, education, events, and thought leadership, to create tailored proposals that maximize client value and impact.
• Develop engaging sales presentations and communication materials that effectively showcase SHRM’s value proposition and encourage solution adoption.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams across product development, marketing, and leadership to shape go-to-market strategies and improve solution alignment.
• Oversee the entire sales lifecycle, including pipeline development, client engagement, proposal creation, contract negotiations, and pricing, ensuring competitive market value while upholding SHRM’s financial integrity.
• Guarantee high levels of client satisfaction through proactive account management and continuous engagement that nurtures long-term strategic partnerships.
• Achieve and surpass annual revenue targets (quota), with quarterly performance metrics linked to compensation.
• Establish SHRM as a trusted advisor and thought leader by integrating organizational research, workforce insights, and HR trends into client discussions and strategic recommendations.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience in business development, client relationship management, and account growth.
• Proven experience in selling HR-related programs or services (or equivalent products/services) at the executive level using consultative sales strategies.
• Demonstrated success in business development, including building customer relationships, developing account strategies, maintaining a qualified pipeline to ensure forecast accuracy, and securing large-scale deals.
• Exhibits agility and flexibility in addressing issues and crafting solutions.
• Proficient in operating within systems such as Salesforce, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. (high proficiency required).
