
Director of SBA and Loan Servicing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
β’ The Director will create a top-tier operating model designed to facilitate substantial portfolio expansion, manage numerous lender and investor relationships, navigate complex regulatory requirements, and meet high service expectations.
β’ Oversee a large, multi-tiered organization through Servicing and Liquidation Managers.
β’ Manage comprehensive post-closing servicing, portfolio management, special servicing, workouts, and liquidation operations for multi-billion-dollar SBA, USDA, and other commercial or government-guaranteed loan portfolios.
β’ Guarantee precise and prompt administration of payment processing, remittances, escrow and reserve activities, borrower inquiries, collateral and insurance oversight, financial reporting, covenant monitoring, annual reviews, servicing actions, payoff and release procedures, charge-offs, recoveries, and guaranty-related obligations.
β’ Track portfolio-level trends and concentrations, such as delinquency, defaults, charge-offs, recoveries, servicing exceptions, aging, borrower complaints, and emerging credit risks; ensure timely escalation and corrective measures.
β’ Ensure adherence to current SBA SOPs, the SBA Servicing and Liquidation Matrix, USDA guidelines, lender and investor agreements, internal credit policies, as well as relevant federal and state laws and regulations.
β’ At least 12 years of progressive experience in commercial lending, portfolio management, loan servicing, special assets, or a similar banking role.
β’ A minimum of 7 years in a leadership capacity.
β’ Proven track record of managing servicing or portfolio operations for no fewer than 5,000 loan units and $1 billion in commercial, SBA, USDA, or other government-guaranteed loans.
β’ Extensive knowledge of SBA 7(a) post-closing servicing and liquidation standards.
β’ Documented experience in executing process improvements, operational controls, quality initiatives, workflow automation, servicing technology, and management reporting within a regulated lending context.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and highly relevant experience.
