• Create and implement a sales strategy aimed at generating new business and enhancing existing relationships.
• Guide and mentor a team of sales professionals, fostering pipeline development and deal progression.
• Develop and optimize sales processes specifically for the Private Hauling industry, with an emphasis on prospecting, lead qualification, and contract negotiations.
• Propel outbound sales initiatives by utilizing phone, email, and face-to-face meetings to engage key decision-makers.
• Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with essential stakeholders.
• Track and evaluate sales metrics, fine-tuning strategies to boost conversion rates and revenue.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, funding opportunities, and government procurement procedures to improve sales effectiveness.
• Work in partnership with marketing and product teams to ensure consistency in messaging, lead generation, and addressing customer requirements.
• Take ownership of revenue objectives within the Private Hauling sector, offering strategic direction to achieve and surpass targets.
• Demonstrated experience in a senior sales position with a focus on private sector sales.
• In-depth knowledge of municipal procurement processes, budgeting timelines, and decision-making frameworks.
• Strong leadership capabilities, with the skill to mentor and develop a sales team.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, with the capacity to influence stakeholders.
• Analytical mindset, utilizing data to enhance sales performance and strategy.
