This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee all facets of the retail sales operation, encompassing national and regional accounts, distributor partnerships, and direct retail clients.
• Formulate and implement a detailed retail growth strategy that aligns with the company's objectives and brand priorities.
• Maintain current retail relationships with major retailers, ensuring effective communication, high service standards, and synchronization with promotional timelines.
• Identify and establish new retail partnerships across grocery, club, and specialty sectors.
• Manage pricing, promotions, and contract negotiations in collaboration with leadership.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, marketing, R&D, and logistics to guarantee successful product launches and ongoing execution.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate the retail sales team; supervise the daily operations of the merchandiser and future team members.
• Prepare and deliver sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior leadership.
• Observe and assess market trends, seasonal patterns, customer feedback, and consumer purchasing behavior to inform critical business decisions, including SKU rationalization.
• Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
• Progressive sales experience within the Meat industry, specifically engaging with National Retail Chains (Grocery, Supermarket, Club, Wholesale) is essential.
• An entrepreneurial mindset capable of thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to establish clear objectives and devise a strategy that motivates the team.
• Strong analytical skills to assess sales and pricing data for data-driven decision-making.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
• Willingness to travel as necessary (approximately 40-50%).
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or a comparable combination of education and experience.
