This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Guatemala.
• Spearhead the strategic vision, development, and ongoing enhancement of the Project Management Office.
• Develop enterprise project management methodologies, governance, standards, and best practices that align with AWS consulting delivery.
• Create scalable PMO processes across Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Data & AI, Migration & Modernization, Managed Services, and Application Modernization.
• Supervise a portfolio of intricate AWS consulting engagements from inception to successful completion.
• Assess project priorities based on strategic goals, customer commitments, resource availability, and financial outcomes.
• Guarantee on-time project delivery, adhering to scope, budget, and achieving contractual and business objectives.
• Track portfolio health using executive dashboards, KPIs, utilization metrics, financial performance, customer satisfaction, and delivery risk indicators.
• Execute project health reviews, stage gates, executive steering committees, and governance routines.
• Define and uphold project lifecycle methodologies for Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
• Standardize project documentation, reporting, risk management, issue escalation, change control, and executive communications.
• Create processes for project intake, prioritization, forecasting, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
• Develop uniform delivery playbooks for AWS consulting engagements.
• Promote collaboration among Engineering, Architecture, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Operations, and Executive Leadership.
• Act as the executive point of contact for strategic customer delivery governance.
• Lead Executive Business Reviews, steering committees, and customer governance meetings.
• Handle executive-level escalations.
• Propel continuous improvement in project delivery processes.
• Implement portfolio management tools, reporting automation, and delivery analytics.
• Establish KPIs for project health, delivery quality, profitability, customer satisfaction, resource utilization, and delivery predictability.
• Collaborate with Finance on forecasting, revenue recognition support, and project profitability.
• Work alongside AWS Partner Management and Alliance teams on AWS-funded initiatives, including MAP, Well-Architected Framework Reviews, Marketplace engagements, and SCAs.
• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field is required.
• Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification is mandatory.
• Over 10 years of progressive project and program management experience is essential.
• At least 5 years leading a Project Management Office, Program Management Office, or an enterprise consulting delivery organization is required.
• Experience in managing cloud transformation or technology consulting projects is necessary.
• Proven ability to lead multiple concurrent enterprise projects with delivery values exceeding several million dollars.
• Demonstrated success in establishing PMO governance, standards, methodologies, and delivery frameworks.
• Strong financial acumen encompassing project forecasting, budgeting, margin management, and resource planning.
• Exceptional skills in executive communication, fluency in English, leadership, presentation, and stakeholder management.
• Advanced understanding of Project Portfolio Management (PPM).
• Solid grasp of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Experience in managing cloud infrastructure and software implementation projects is essential.
• Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Monday.com, or Asana.
• An MBA or Master's degree is preferred.
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification is preferred.
• AWS Solutions Architect certification is highly preferred.
• PMI-ACP, PgMP, Scrum Master, SAFe, or Lean certifications are preferred.
• Experience working within an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner, cloud consulting organization, or systems integrator is advantageous.
• Familiarity with AWS Marketplace, MAP, Well-Architected Reviews, or AWS Partner Programs is preferred.
