Director of Product Management – Business Suite

📋 Description

• As the Business Suite Product Manager, you will spearhead the strategy and implementation of the Veracross Business Suite across Australia and New Zealand, serving as the finance and accounting backbone for independent K–12 schools in managing their general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, budgeting, and financial reporting.

• Located in Australia, you will collaborate closely with schools from Australia and New Zealand, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to provide compliant, user-focused financial solutions tailored to the needs of school business offices in the ANZ region and beyond.

• The Integrated Business Suite Team is tasked with overseeing all Veracross financial solutions encompassed within the Business Suite, including tuition billing, student payments, accounts receivable, general ledger, and additional school finance workflows. This team is composed of experts in fintech, accounting, and payments, dedicated to streamlining and enhancing business office operations for independent schools across Australia, New Zealand, and globally.

⛳️ Requirements

• Lead the product strategy, planning, and execution for the Veracross Business Suite in the region.

• Define and prioritize the product roadmap and requirements through market research and customer discovery, focusing particularly on the Australian and New Zealand markets.

• Work collaboratively with UX, engineering, and business teams to deliver intuitive, compliant, and scalable features in accounting and finance.

• Analyze and respond to stakeholder feedback, usage data, and business metrics to inform product decisions.

• Ensure adherence to Australian Accounting Standards (AASB), GST, BAS reporting, ATO requirements, and other pertinent regulatory frameworks.

• Enhance the user experience for school business offices managing everyday finance operations.

• Monitor KPIs, report on product performance, and adjust strategy based on measurable impacts.

• Assist customer success, GTM, and support teams with training, enablement, and documentation.

• Promote continuous improvement across financial workflows, integrations, and automation.

• __***Qualifications:***__

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

• CPA (Certified Practising Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant) qualification preferred but not essential.

• Experience in product management or similar roles, with at least 7+ years managing financial, accounting, or ERP products.

• Practical experience with general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, or financial reporting platforms.

• Strong understanding of the SaaS product development lifecycle.

• Familiarity with ERP or financial systems (e.g., Xero, MYOB, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Blackbaud, or similar platforms).

• Working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and tax/regulatory requirements including GST and BAS.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.

• Analytical mindset focused on measurable product outcomes.

• A passion for improving the educational experience for schools and families.
