This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and take charge of the category strategy, focusing on growth, margin enhancement, and competitive positioning.
• Create and uphold a long-term product roadmap based on customer insights, market dynamics, and financial implications.
• Convert strategy into distinct priorities, trade-offs, and action plans.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to ensure synergy between product strategy and market entry goals.
• Establish multi-year category direction, encompassing expansion, simplification, and competitive stance.
• Define and standardize essential product management procedures within Gibraltar Building Products, covering New Product Development (stage-gate, governance, prioritization) and Engineering Change Requests (ECR/ECO workflows, decision rights, SLAs).
• Promote adoption and adherence across various business units and functions.
• Set up governance, metrics, and tools to guarantee consistency, efficiency, and quality.
• Ongoing process enhancement to minimize cycle time, costs, and execution risks.
• Lead portfolio rationalization efforts to decrease complexity, eliminate low-value SKUs, and boost operational efficiency.
• Assess and capture value throughout the supply chain (cost, inventory, manufacturing efficiency).
• Identify, prioritize, and spearhead New Product Development from concept initiation to launch.
• Create business cases that include pricing strategies, cost objectives, and return on investment.
• Ensure successful product launches with effective positioning, pricing, and channel preparedness.
• Coordinate alignment among engineering, operations, supply chain, marketing, and sales to achieve business results.
• Act as the primary point of accountability for product decisions and trade-offs.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline (MBA is preferred).
• 12–15+ years of experience in product, category, or business leadership roles (industrial/manufacturing experience is preferred).
• Proven track record of managing P&L and leading large-scale cross-functional initiatives.
• Experience in building or scaling product management or New Product Development processes.
• Willingness to travel: less than 45%.
