Director of Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the product vision, strategy, and implementation for North, Cohere's agentic AI platform.

• Establish the 6-18 month strategy and initiatives that create a sustainable competitive edge.

• Build and lead an exceptional product management team across the various surfaces of North.

• Maintain a world-class standard for quality, security, and time-to-value for an enterprise platform integrated within customer infrastructure.

• Oversee North's strategic direction and roadmap, making informed tradeoffs among agent capabilities, enterprise readiness, surfaces, and growth opportunities.

• Manage the metric tree and the experimentation initiatives that drive activation, retention, and expansion.

• Foster cross-functional collaboration across engineering, design, research, sales, customers, and partners.

• Directly engage with enterprise customers to gather insights and direction using both qualitative and quantitative data.

• Collaborate with research and engineering teams to transform model capabilities into distinctive products.

• Build, mentor, and lead the North product team along with its operational processes, in collaboration with Engineering and Design.

• Direct the North technical documentation product and its associated team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing other PMs.

• Proven experience in owning a product or platform from inception to completion, demonstrating a measurable impact on adoption, retention, and revenue, particularly in the enterprise SaaS sector.

• Strong product strategy capabilities: possessing a clear vision and the ability to align the organization with that vision.

• Demonstrated high craftsmanship and product sensibility.

• Experience working directly with high-stakes customers and ecosystem partners.

• Naturally analytical: able to define metrics, instrument the product, and conduct and interpret experiments.

• Experience in AI-first product management.

• Familiarity with at least a few domains including: Agentic AI, LLMs, Automation, Productivity, and Enterprise security and compliance.
