Director of Patient Access Optimization – Implementation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the support, management, and execution of operational processes and workflows related to patient access for new facility openings and ongoing initiatives for operational enhancement.

• Takes detailed notes from observations while collaborating with new site openings.

• Collaborates with onsite staff to troubleshoot and eliminate operational challenges.

• Offers coaching and support to nursing staff at the site level regarding Intuitive Clinical Operational processes.

• Escalates identified operational issues to Center Leadership and the VP of Implementations.

• Communicates the status of new site operations to key stakeholders, including Health System Leadership and senior management at Intuitive Health.

• Provides clear direction, communication, and guidance to mitigate operational risks for all involved parties.

• Conducts post-implementation analyses and formulates recommendations based on lessons learned.

• Drives improvements in the following metrics, which will be used to evaluate this position: Registration accuracy, Registration timeframe, Write-offs, Co-pay collections, Co-insurance collections, Patient Net Promoter Score, Left Without Being Seen/Treated, and Staff retention.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree is required.

• Must be a subject matter expert on the registration process within an emergency department.

• Should possess familiarity with all financial and administrative regulatory requirements pertinent to emergency department operations.

• A minimum of 5 years of registration experience in an emergency department is necessary.

• At least 3 years of experience supervising registration personnel in an emergency department is required.

• Experience in a freestanding ED/UC is preferred.

• Familiarity with Epic is preferred.
