This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of new acquisition and expansion initiatives in your designated territory, which includes creating target account lists, implementing outreach strategies, and overseeing your pipeline from start to finish.
• Oversee the complete sales cycle, encompassing discovery, solution design, pricing and proposal creation, negotiation, and contract finalization, while collaborating with Legal and Finance as required.
• Direct strategic account planning and foster upsell and cross-sell opportunities through regular Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs).
• Ensure precise CRM data and sales forecasts, working closely with RevOps to guarantee robust reporting and pipeline transparency.
• Represent Moreland at industry conferences, superintendent and administrator forums, and other customer-facing events.
• Enhance Moreland's brand visibility within your territory through case studies, webinars, co-marketing initiatives, and community engagement with partner districts.
• Discover and navigate funding opportunities, including grants, philanthropic programs, and state or federal funding sources, to assist partner districts in covering tuition and licensing expenses.
• 7–15 years of experience in K-12 partnerships, business development, or strategic accounts (preferably in edtech, certification, or professional development).
• Proven history of closing complex, six-figure-plus ACV deals involving multiple stakeholders and lengthy sales cycles.
• Experience in forging partnerships within leading U.S. school districts, state Departments of Education, or higher education systems.
• Strong history in acquiring new logos and expanding existing accounts.
• Proficient in CRM discipline (HubSpot or Salesforce) and comfortable managing your own sales forecast.
• Exceptional executive-level communication and negotiation skills — you are at ease conversing with a superintendent or a state Chief Academic Officer.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Bonus: formal sales methodology training (Challenger, MEDDIC, Solution Selling, Sandler, or similar).
