This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.
• Rula is revolutionizing access to mental healthcare by effectively bridging the divide between high-quality care and insurance coverage. As the Director of Organic Growth, you will be responsible for managing the primary access point to our ecosystem: our organic channels.
• Reporting to the Head of Brand & Integrated Marketing and serving as a vital member of the Brand Leadership Team, you will create the vision, multi-year roadmap, and revenue impact across organic search, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) as an integrated growth engine.
• You will establish Rula’s market presence in this new era, transforming category-defining strategies into high-ROI Go-To-Market implementations, business cases, and scalable growth for both consumer (patient) and provider segments.
• You and your team will guide a comprehensive organic strategy—innovating site architecture, implementing enterprise-grade structured data, and achieving a dominant share of voice in zero-click environments.
• You will manage a continuous CRO framework, systematically optimizing high-intent conversion pathways to enhance patient acquisition and downstream clinical outcomes.
• Acting as a peer and strategic co-owner alongside Engineering, Product, and Design (EPD) leaders, you will identify technical investments to enhance discoverability, site performance, and conversion, influencing shared roadmap priorities while maintaining clear ownership boundaries.
• You will coordinate alignment across PR, Lifecycle, Clinical, and Compliance teams—ensuring all growth mechanisms are technically sound, clinically authoritative, and fully compliant with HIPAA, WCAG, and healthcare regulatory standards.
• You will build, mentor, and scale a high-performing organic growth organization in collaboration with an elite agency network, recruiting, developing, and retaining outstanding talent while promoting a culture of experimentation, accountability, and continuous learning. You will have direct P&L responsibility for growth forecasting, capital allocation, and ROI—diligently tracking metrics from AI answer-engine market share to CAC, LTV, and net revenue contribution. Ultimately, you will translate complex performance data into compelling executive narratives that guide C-suite decision-making and influence company-wide investments in content, product, and brand.
• 10+ years of experience in organic search/SEO, with progressively senior ownership of strategy and measurable business outcomes; substantial, hands-on experience in the field before transitioning into leadership roles.
• 5+ years of leadership experience, including the ability to build, develop, and grow a team.
• 8+ years of extensive, experimentation-based expertise in technical SEO and AI-driven discovery across search engines, AI Overviews, answer engines, and LLM ecosystems (AEO), along with proven proficiency in managing or collaborating on CRO programs that drive measurable conversion and revenue growth.
• Comfort in operating within a rapidly changing landscape where best practices are still evolving, creating new frameworks for measuring and expanding AI-driven discovery.
• Experience in leveraging automation, AI, and programmatic methods to scale content creation, optimization, and experimentation while ensuring quality is maintained.
• Experience in developing and scaling a Go-To-Market strategy focused on organic channels, including justifying investment with data.
• Strong technical knowledge in site architecture, structured data, and Core Web Vitals to establish credible, peer-level partnerships with Engineering and Product—collaboratively shaping shared roadmaps and driving growth priorities into joint planning without the necessity to write code yourself.
• Experience in evaluating and selecting SEO, AEO, or CRO tools and vendors at scale.
• 100% remote work environment: Working hours designed to promote a healthy work-life balance, allowing you to fulfill both professional and personal commitments (must be based in the United States; currently not hiring in Hawaii).
• Competitive pay and benefits: Full transparency of pay ranges regardless of your location in the United States.
• Comprehensive health benefits: Medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and FSA/HSA options.
• Access to a 401(k) plan: Begin saving for your future.
• Generous time-off policies: Including two company-wide shutdown weeks each year for self-care (for most employees).
• Paid parental leave: Available for all parents, including birthing, non-birthing, adopting, and fostering.
• Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Supporting your mental and physical well-being.
• Quarterly department stipend: For fun team-building activities or in-person gatherings.
• Community and employee resource groups: Engage in groups that celebrate employee identity and lived experiences, fostering a sense of community and belonging for all.
• Home office stipend: New hire home office stipend & $50 monthly stipend to assist with internet or cell phone expenses.
• Wellness at Rula program: Year-round wellness initiatives and a $50/month wellness stipend.
