Director of Nursing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist RN Regional Managers and Staffing Coordinators across the Central region to ensure high-quality patient care and effective nursing operations.

• Implement and assess patient care operations in collaboration with RN Regional Managers and Staffing Coordinators.

• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, processes, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Provide direct clinical support and patient care to both patients and nursing staff.

• Conduct and oversee post-infusion patient surveys, as well as approve nursing documentation and visit schedules.

• Aid in optimizing supply usage, troubleshooting pump issues, and maintaining policy compliance.

• Participate in the screening of clinical managers, contractual nurses, and Staffing Coordinators.

• Educate, onboard, and perform competency evaluations for regional nursing staff.

• Address nurse complaints and audit the standards of care for contracted nurses.

• Create and implement action plans to rectify deficiencies identified during regional audits.

• Train, supervise, and ensure adherence to the nursing documentation platform.

• Oversee nursing training and education initiatives, and lead monthly meetings for the regional team.

• Set nursing team objectives, evaluate performance, and prepare reports.

• Inform management or the Compliance Officer of any policy, regulatory, or conduct violations.

• Travel to patients as necessary for supervision and provide after-hours emergency call support.

• Report any infusion-related issues, side effects, and missed doses to the pharmacist.

• Assist with patient and nursing supply requirements.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the National Director of Nursing.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in home and/or specialty infusion is necessary.

• An active and unrestricted nursing license, including California, is mandatory.

• Strong knowledge and experience in the clinical aspects of home infusion and/or specialty pharmacy are essential.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software is required.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities are necessary.

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are required.

• Excellent sales and customer service skills are a must.

• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial.

• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines are essential.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.

• Proven supervisory and leadership abilities are necessary.

• Capability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively is essential.

• Must be able to perform physical activities, including regularly lifting/moving up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 30 pounds.

• Ability to provide direct patient care, travel to patients as required, and be available for after-hours emergency calls is necessary.
