This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Position Summary
• Jam+ is on the lookout for a proactive commercial builder who can generate new revenue across our ecommerce platforms. This role goes beyond mere strategy or passive partnership management; we seek an individual ready to actively open doors, make calls, leverage referrals, experiment with new sales strategies, and drive opportunities from concept to meeting to pilot and ultimately to revenue.
• Your responsibilities will include identifying, developing, and securing new DTC and ecommerce-adjacent growth opportunities while managing channel performance and growth. This encompasses strategic partnerships, white-label platform opportunities, procurement relationships, vertical sales programs, and innovative outbound sales strategies. You will collaborate directly with the CEO and are expected to act swiftly, think creatively, and take full ownership of your initiatives.
• **Success is measured by:** revenue growth, established partnerships, qualified pipeline, sales team efficiency, and channel performance.
• Core Mission
• Generate new revenue by forging partnerships, tapping into new customer segments, activating the sales team, managing channel growth, and exploring inventive methods to expand Jam+'s ecommerce operations beyond conventional site traffic and paid media.
• Key Responsibilities
• - **New revenue creation** — Develop and oversee a pipeline of strategic partnerships, vertical sales opportunities, and innovative commercial programs. Act decisively from idea conception to outreach, pilot testing, and revenue realization. Create inventive strategies to access new customer segments (associations, procurement groups, schools, enterprise buyers, and other high-potential niches).
• - Construct practical business cases for new opportunities (revenue, margin, effort, timing).
• - Prioritize initiatives based on revenue speed, strategic value, and scalability.
• - **Sales leadership** — Enhance the sales function by adopting a more assertive outbound approach. Establish clear KPIs, scripts, and accountability measures. Personally lead high-value outreach efforts and exemplify the urgency expected from the team.
• - Evaluate the current sales team and propose modifications to structure, processes, and incentives.
• - Boost conversion rates for inbound leads, quotes, and dormant accounts.
• - **Strategic partnerships** — Manage and enhance ongoing deals. Identify new companies, platforms, and communities for co-marketing, referral, white-label, or embedded commerce opportunities. Negotiate terms alongside the CEO and cross-functional leaders.
• - Foster trustworthy relationships with senior external partners.
• - Transform relationships into signed, revenue-generating agreements.
• - **Vertical/niche market development** — Recognize segments where JAM can succeed through targeted outreach and repeatable sales tactics, then develop testable campaigns for these markets.
• - Target segments such as associations, schools, procurement groups, and nonprofits.
• - Collaborate with ecommerce and creative teams on offers, landing pages, and promotional materials.
• - **Cross-functional execution** — Collaborate with Ecommerce, Technology, Operations, Finance, and CX to ensure that new opportunities are supported, feasible, and profitable.
• - Align site experience, pricing, and margins prior to launching new initiatives.
• - Identify customer pain points and repeat-purchase opportunities with CX.
• - **Reporting** — Manage a clear pipeline/revenue dashboard and provide regular updates to the CEO regarding activity, signed agreements, and revenue impact.
• - Monitor leading indicators (outreach, meetings, pilots) alongside results.
• - Continuously refine strategies based on effective practices.
• What Success Looks Like
• - **30 days:** Comprehensive understanding of the business, sales team, and channel dynamics; a prioritized target list; direct outreach activities initiated.
• - **60–90 days:** Established disciplined outbound cadence with tangible KPIs; active discussions with high-potential partners; at least one or two pilots launched or underway.
• - **6 months:** Measurable pipeline and initial revenue from new partnerships, verticals, or channels; repeatable playbooks beginning to form.
• - **12 months:** Significant incremental revenue and a scalable pipeline that continues to grow beyond year one.
• Ideal Candidate
• You are a driven, entrepreneurial builder who truly enjoys generating revenue from the ground up rather than inheriting it. Ambiguity does not hinder you; you are equally adept at working without a playbook as you are with one, and you prioritize action over analysis. You possess the skills to pick up the phone, convert a cold introduction into a meeting, maintain momentum throughout a lengthy sales cycle, and close deals.
• You seamlessly navigate diverse settings in a single day: a boardroom discussion with a strategic partner’s senior executive, a cold call to a procurement office, an experimental test campaign for a niche vertical, an in-depth analysis of channel performance data, and a candid conversation with your sales team regarding elevating its standards.
• You have sharp instincts for sales and business development, genuine commercial creativity, and a solid understanding of ecommerce fundamentals — partnerships, sales, channels, landing pages, customer experience, repeat purchases — enabling you to recognize how they all interrelate and uncover the next opportunity.
• Required Experience & Skills **Must-haves:**
• - Demonstrated ability to generate revenue from the ground up through outbound sales, business development, partnerships, or new market exploration.
• - Willingness to personally engage in prospecting and lead outreach initiatives.
• - Capability to manage, restructure, or enhance a sales team.
• - Strong commercial acumen regarding revenue, margin, timing, and effort.
• - Entrepreneurial urgency and adaptability in the absence of a perfect playbook.
• **Strong plus:**
• - Experience in print-on-demand, office products, ecommerce, shipping/logistics, promotional products, or B2B ecommerce.
• - Familiarity with ecommerce metrics (CAC, LTV, AOV, contribution margin).
• - Pre-existing relevant relationships in adjacent markets or channel/procurement sectors.
• What This Role Is Not
• This is not a traditional marketing position. It does not involve day-to-day site or marketplace management. It is not suitable for someone who prefers to manage from a distance without personally driving momentum. This role is tailored for an individual eager to build, sell, test, hustle, and generate measurable new revenue.
• **Why Join Us?** Jam+ provides a competitive benefits package that includes comprehensive **medical, dental, and vision** coverage, a **401(k) with company match**, **life insurance**, and generous **paid time off** to support your professional and personal well-being.
• **Equal Opportunity Employer** Jam+ is committed to being an Equal Opportunity Employer.
