Director of Mission Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and expand the Mission Operations team.

• Take ownership of the strategy, execution, and ongoing enhancement of Hidden Level’s Mission Operations organization.

• Recruit, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of Mission Operations engineers.

• Set operational standards, as well as mission and readiness frameworks.

• Oversee planning for customer field deployments, system acceptance, and ongoing support.

• Act as the executive operational leader for significant customer and mission events.

• Provide strategic guidance for customer missions.

• Develop frameworks for operational governance, risk management, and escalation processes.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Operations leadership.

• Define mission readiness metrics, operational KPIs, and reporting systems.

• Function as a trusted advisor to customer leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in mission operations, field operations, technical program execution, customer success, military operations, or related fields.

• Experience in deploying and supporting intricate hardware/software systems in operational settings.

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in dynamic, mission-critical environments.

• Strong customer engagement capabilities with a talent for building credibility and trust among technical and operational stakeholders.

• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities in ambiguous or rapidly evolving scenarios.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior customer leadership.

• Willingness to travel up to 40% for customer deployments, demonstrations, and mission-related activities.
