This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Provide strategic leadership for the Korean Initiatives department, overseeing both the US-based team and the Regional Center team in Korea.
• Assume primary responsibility for the administration, management, and financial viability of Korean Initiatives.
• Lead and facilitate the development of academic, promotional, and exchange programs.
• Build and enhance relationships with Korean partners and the Korean diaspora church.
• Manage all academic and non-academic programs related to Korean Initiatives.
• Oversee the development, operation, management, and sustainability of the Korean Doctor of Ministry and Korean Master of Arts in Theological Studies programs.
• Supervise non-academic programs, particularly those in Korea.
• Direct promotion and marketing strategies for Korean Initiatives programs.
• Act as a leader, speaker, spokesperson, and advocate for Korean Initiatives.
• Lead and manage the Korean Council and other advisory groups.
• Report on academic program progress and performance to the Senior Leadership Team via the VP of Global.
• Travel domestically and internationally to promote programs.
• Develop and implement programs to acquire, retain, and engage Korean partners and donors.
• Support the President and VP of Global with fundraising and outreach efforts.
• Manage the SaRang Center and Harvie Conn Center for Korean History alongside the library director.
• Oversee memoranda of understanding with partner institutions in Korea.
• Supervise and mentor approximately 18 employees.
• Conduct performance evaluations for subordinates and make recommendations regarding hiring, compensation, and termination.
• Proficient oral, written, and reading skills in both Korean and English.
• Strong interpersonal abilities.
• Competent in using both Mac and PC systems.
• Advanced financial management and budgeting skills are essential.
• Expert administrative skills are required.
• A Master’s degree is mandatory.
• A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience is required.
• Fluency in Korean and English is essential.
• Understanding and agreement with Westminster’s mission and teachings.
• In-depth knowledge of Korean culture and social norms.
• Personnel must be members of a Protestant evangelical church.
• Personnel must adhere to Biblical orthodoxy in both belief and practice.
• Agreement with the historic, trinitarian Christian faith as articulated in the Apostles’ Creed is required.
• Must sign Westminster Theological Seminary’s Community Life Policy, affirming commitment to Christian beliefs and practices.
