Director of Interoperability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish Counterpart Health’s strategy for interoperability within the industry, ensuring we maintain our status as early adopters and innovators.

• Serve as the external representative for Counterpart Health with standards organizations, industry working groups, vendors, customers, partners, and policymakers.

• Oversee Counterpart Health and Clover’s efforts regarding CMS interoperability requirements and ensure compliance with these standards.

• Simplify complex standards and implementation guidelines into actionable product, engineering, partnership, and business strategies.

• Cultivate relationships with key leaders and organizations influencing healthcare interoperability, including HL7, Argonaut, Da Vinci, CMS, and the wider health tech ecosystem.

• Lead and nurture a small team of interoperability engineers tasked with transforming strategic goals into tangible capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in US healthcare interoperability, healthcare standards, payer-provider data exchange, or health technology strategy.

• Highly knowledgeable in FHIR, HL7, implementation guides, and the practical aspects of effective healthcare data exchange.

• Significant experience with CMS interoperability requirements, the Da Vinci Project, Argonaut Project, US Core, or similar national initiatives.

• Recognized within the healthcare interoperability community, or have actively engaged in forums that shape industry direction.

• Proven ability to translate standards knowledge into company strategy, product development, partnership approaches, and business value.

• Skilled in leading a small technical team while remaining engaged with the details necessary for guiding successful implementation decisions.
