Director of Implementation and Integration

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee healthcare technology implementations from the initial handoff and technical discovery to configuration, data validation, go-live, and post-launch stabilization.

• Create and uphold implementation plans, including milestones, dependencies, risks, decision-making points, and escalation avenues.

• Act as the main technical and implementation liaison for client stakeholders.

• Convert contractual and operational requirements into precise technical deliverables.

• Facilitate data-discovery sessions and coordinate cross-functional collaboration among clients, Operations, Product, Engineering, Data, Security, and other internal teams.

• Manage the complete process of data acquisition, mapping, transformation, validation, loading, reconciliation, and resolving discrepancies for client data.

• Construct, configure, sustain, and troubleshoot data-ingestion workflows.

• Develop mapping specifications, optimize SQL queries, and design processes for error handling, logging, retry, replay, monitoring, tenant separation, and production support.

• Collaborate with Data Architecture and Engineering to establish reusable standards, scalability, and reliability in production.

• Lead the transfer of ingestion knowledge, documentation, and production ownership from offshore teams to the U.S.-based team.

• Document feeds, pipelines, rules, schedules, credentials, support procedures, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and cross-training materials.

• Streamline, standardize, and continuously enhance implementation and ingestion workflows.

• Identify and automate manual, repetitive, or error-prone tasks, ensuring responsible use of AI with human oversight and compliance controls.

• Manage PHI and confidential data in compliance with HIPAA, SOC 2, client requirements, and Abax policies.

• Guarantee auditability, traceability, least-privilege controls, and adherence to proper security practices.

• Promptly escalate any suspected data or security concerns.

• Function as a hands-on leader in client meetings, data analysis, pipeline troubleshooting, and cross-functional coordination.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.

• 8+ years of experience in healthcare technology, SaaS implementation, data integration, or related technical delivery, including complex cross-functional client projects.

• Practical experience with healthcare data mapping, transformation, validation, reconciliation, SQL, ETL/ELT, and file-based or API integrations.

• Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, laboratory, payer, referral, scheduling, revenue cycle, or similar healthcare systems.

• Ability to interpret business requirements into technical deliverables and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong project management, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities in client-facing settings.

• Experience managing PHI in environments regulated by HIPAA.

• Proficient with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Storage, Functions, or similar Azure technologies.

• Knowledge of Epic, Cerner, or other major EHR platforms, HL7, FHIR, healthcare APIs, SFTP, or related interoperability standards.

• Experience designing production pipelines that include logging, alerting, retry/replay, reconciliation, and multi-tenant SaaS reliability practices.

• Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Agile, or similar fields.

• Experience in organizational change, knowledge transfer, or automation of implementation and data quality workflows.
