Director of Forensic Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and guide a team of engineers, aiding in their professional growth and project-related tasks.

• Evaluate the work of junior consultants to ensure that deliverables are accurate, of high quality, and submitted on time to clients.

• Ensure that project budgets and scopes are communicated promptly to clients and strictly followed.

• Facilitate the timely completion of all project milestones, consistently achieving or exceeding set deadlines.

• Collaborate with clients to arrange site visits and finalize project deliverables.

• Generate project reports that integrate data gathered from onsite inspections with environmental considerations, material characteristics, and engineering assessments to identify the probable causes and extent of distress and failures in buildings and components.

• Conduct site visits to gather field data on both residential and commercial properties.

• Review and interpret applicable building codes as necessary for issues related to our scope of work.

• Support business development initiatives by collaborating with business development representatives to attend conferences, events, dinners, and lunches, when appropriate, to promote the company and your individual skills.

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.

• Over 15 years of experience in forensic engineering.

• Demonstrated capability to produce detailed technical reports based on inspection findings.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
