• Design and sustain cohesive financial planning processes that enhance efficiency for client service teams focused on UHNW clients at Mercer Advisors.
• Supervise daily operations, while training and nurturing members of the centralized Financial Planning Group.
• Gather, systematize, and share best practices pertaining to financial planning production.
• Create and uphold a “playbook” regarding the development and presentation of financial plans to optimize efficiency and ease of delivery for client services.
• Proactively adjust internal systems to support and improve the financial planning experience.
• Lead and guide a team of planners in delivering financial plans, managing daily tasks, providing training, time management, coaching, and mentorship.
• Foster exceptional relationships with wealth management team members to support the financial planning process for UHNW clients.
• Establish and maintain training programs for wealth management teams on effective financial planning delivery and associated tools.
• Remain updated on emerging industry trends, regulations, and planning issues, while communicating pertinent changes to the organization.
• Enhance the visibility of Mercer Advisors concerning financial planning by creating collateral, serving as a thought leader within the company and the broader industry.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Over 10 years of successful experience within the financial services industry.
• CFP® (Certified Financial Planning) designation is mandatory; additional credentials are preferred.
• Ability to develop content and deliverables in high-volume, fast-paced settings.
• Proven success with ultra-high net worth clients and intricate financial planning scenarios.
• Experience in identifying the needs of advisors, partners, and prospects through investigative questioning, providing solutions, and encouraging appropriate actions.
• Proficient in public speaking to clients, prospective clients, and advisors, including addressing large audiences.
• A successful history of creating and executing new programs and concepts throughout the organization.
• In-depth understanding of the financial planning profession along with a forward-thinking approach.
• Strong grasp of the business development landscape, including relationships with channel partners.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the industry, financial planning, and investment management.
• Excellent communication, presentation, listening, and analytical abilities.
• Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional follow-through.
• Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• A well-established and active network within the industry.
