Director of Finance – Corporate Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Define our financial strategy and overall performance.

• Direct financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting efforts.

• Develop and oversee a multi-year plan for enhancing our financial infrastructure.

• Provide guidance to the executive team and board regarding performance, risks, and the implications of strategic decisions.

• Establish clear KPI frameworks, dashboards, tools, and processes to enhance unit economics.

• Supervise accounting, cash flow management, and compliance activities.

• Enhance financial processes, internal controls, and reporting standards.

• Ensure robust governance, compliance, and risk management practices.

• Manage legal, tax, and regulatory compliance across various jurisdictions.

• Coordinate with external counsel, auditors, and key partners.

• Structure and negotiate essential contracts and vendor agreements.

• Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and data-related risks.

• Serve as a trusted partner to investors and key stakeholders.

• Assist with board reporting and communication with investors.

• Facilitate due diligence and strategic transactions.

• Foster strong relationships with investors, banks, auditors, and regulators.

• Collaborate with other senior leaders across functions to promote organizational success.

• Oversee people operations, payroll, and fundamental policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8-10+ years of experience in senior finance positions within a high-growth or scaling environment.

• Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, planning, analytics, and supporting executive-level decision-making.

• In-depth knowledge of corporate finance along with an understanding of accounting frameworks and financial reporting standards.

• Familiarity with legal, compliance, and people operations.

• Experience with international or multi-entity environments.

• Proven leadership abilities in a rapidly changing setting.

• Knowledge of carbon markets is advantageous.

• Proficient in English (French and/or Portuguese are a plus).
