• Oversee the daily financial operations of Whitestone.
• Ensure precision and discipline while establishing a foundation for future growth.
• Manage essential finance functions such as accounting, treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and financial systems.
• Lead and develop the Accounting team and Finance Systems Specialist.
• Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of all transactional financial data.
• Supervise monthly closing activities, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
• Establish and uphold robust internal controls and standardized processes across accounting functions.
• Identify, investigate, and rectify discrepancies, errors, and process failures.
• Propel continuous enhancement of finance workflows to boost efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
• Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
• Act as the main finance point of contact for internal departments, vendors, and clients.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA or MBA is preferred.
• 8–10+ years of progressive experience in finance, including leadership in accounting and finance operations.
• Experience in a high-growth environment, with insights into scaling financial processes and systems.
• Background in the Promotional Products industry or a similar field is advantageous.
• Strong practical experience with QuickBooks (Online or Enterprise).
• Familiarity with financial planning & analysis tools (e.g., Fathom or equivalent).
• Knowledge of tax and compliance tools (e.g., Avalara / AvaTax or similar).
• Experience in managing financial operations across multiple entities or regions is preferred.
• Proficient in project management tools (Asana or a similar platform).
• Strong grasp of accounting principles, financial reporting, and closing processes.
• Demonstrated ability to enhance processes, implement systems, and drive operational efficiency.
• Effective communicator capable of translating financial data into clear, actionable insights.
• Familiarity with AI tools utilized in Finance and Accounting is a plus.
