Director of Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Responsible for cash management and treasury operations, which includes maintaining rolling 13-week forecasts, ensuring runway visibility, and identifying risks proactively.

• Collaborating with the COO to develop and oversee the annual budget, which encompasses monthly variance reporting and departmental P&Ls.

• Directing the analysis of pricing and unit economics, focusing on LTV, payback periods, and profitability modeling of offers.

• Aiding leadership in decision-making by delivering clear financial recommendations supported by data analysis.

• Creating models for hiring sequences and organizational growth scenarios linked to revenue milestones.

• Supervising financial operations, including credit card procedures, vendor management, and the implementation of financial controls.

• Managing relationships with external partners such as CPA firms, tax strategy teams, and financial service providers.

• Developing and enhancing the internal finance function, including recruiting and mentoring team members as the organization expands.

• Ensuring monthly financial closes and reporting are executed accurately, timely, and cleanly.

• Collaborating cross-functionally with leadership to synchronize financial strategy with business goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in scaling a finance function within a high-growth company, ideally transitioning from $10M to $50M+ in revenue or possessing equivalent experience.

• In-depth knowledge of both accounting and FP&A, with the capability to manage current financials while modeling future performance.

• Proven experience in building and leading finance teams, including the recruitment and development of talent.

• Advanced financial modeling skills, with a background in influencing pricing, hiring, and strategic decisions.

• An operational mindset with the ability to make recommendations and drive decisions, rather than simply reporting data.

• Background in fast-paced, high-growth environments with shifting priorities.

• Familiarity with contemporary financial tools and AI-powered solutions aimed at enhancing efficiency and scalability.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders effectively.
