This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the FP&A department and act as a strategic collaborator with the CFAO, CEO, and President
• Take ownership of the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial models
• Direct scenario planning and variance analysis, highlighting risks and opportunities
• Assess new programs, partnerships, and growth prospects through financial modeling and ROI evaluations
• Model school and district adoption, renewal, expansion, and service costs for Teach to One Roadmaps
• Conduct product and service costing analyses and formulate pricing strategies
• Collaborate with the sales team to set revenue goals, monitor progress, and convert the pipeline into achievable forecasts
• Develop and maintain analyses for cost-per-student and cost-per-school, along with contribution-margin assessments
• Aid pricing and packaging decisions through volume, discount, and multi-year commitment models
• Manage the ARR waterfall and examine gross and net revenue retention
• Calculate and report on CAC, CAC payback, LTV/CAC, sales efficiency, gross margins, and anticipated profitability
• Collaborate with the CEO and VP of Development to assess fundraising requirements
• Create grant budgets and oversee organizational expenditures in collaboration with development and program teams
• Model cash flow across restricted and unrestricted funds and integrate views of philanthropic and earned revenues
• Distill complex analyses into actionable recommendations for senior leadership and the Board
• Assist leaders in budget creation and spending tracking
• Partner with the Director of Accounting to ensure data consistency, planning assumptions, and reporting
• Bachelor's degree, ideally in finance, economics, or a related analytical discipline; MBA is a plus
• 6–10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, consulting, or investment banking
• CPA is not mandatory
• Proven experience in building financial models from the ground up and utilizing them to inform critical decisions
• Experience in modeling the economics of subscription or recurring-revenue products, including aspects of retention, renewal, and service costs
• Demonstrated capability to work with complex operational data from a CRM or similar system, reconciling it, identifying double-counting and classification errors, and establishing repeatable processes
• Familiarity with nonprofit funding frameworks, including restricted and unrestricted funds, grant budgeting, and indirect cost recovery
• Experience presenting to executive teams and Board members
• Proficient in Excel VBA and other data analysis tools
• Experience with Salesforce, Centage, and Intacct is advantageous
• Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment
• Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Self-motivated individual capable of working independently
