This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Overseeing Facilities projects across all markets, while assisting local teams to ensure the timely execution of maintenance, care, and improvement initiatives.
• Engaging regularly with regional Facilities leaders through one-on-one and group meetings to offer support, expertise, coaching, troubleshooting, and professional development. Additionally, conducting regular skip-level meetings with Facilities Associates companywide to facilitate support and growth.
• Creating systems, protocols, and policies that empower the Facilities team to fulfill their responsibilities effectively, in collaboration with relevant departmental and leadership stakeholders.
• Assisting in the development and management of the department budget, including working with national, regional, and local leaders to address budgetary needs.
• Contributing to the planning, coordination, and management of capital improvement projects, including offering input on priority capital maintenance initiatives and defining the scope of Facilities’ involvement in project execution.
• Aiding in the integration of new gyms into standard Facilities operations for any acquisitions or new constructions by providing training and support to new gym teams.
• Proactively planning for long-term facility care, encompassing projects such as a national inventory of all major systems in each gym, or multi-year maintenance planning.
• Collaborating with national Operations leadership to ensure alignment with company objectives.
• Traveling approximately once a month across Movement markets to support the Facilities team, regional and gym leadership, and ongoing Facilities projects.
• Providing regular reporting for Leadership, Operations, and Facilities.
• Outstanding leadership skills, with a proven ability to deliver an exceptional team member experience; prior successful experience as a departmental or multi-site manager or director is essential. Experience managing remote teams is advantageous.
• Flexible, solution-oriented, and capable of effectively prioritizing tasks within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong background and knowledge in the management, maintenance, and care of complex buildings, which may include familiarity with HVAC systems and other building utilities, basic electrical/plumbing skills, construction expertise, and vendor management.
• IFMA certification or a willingness to obtain certification while on the job.
• Eagerness to learn specific skills for climbing gym maintenance and care, such as working at heights, HVAC system maintenance, climbing floor upkeep, and construction skills, along with a willingness to participate in project work as needed. Previous experience in the climbing industry is a plus.
• Proven administrative capabilities to maintain organized workflows and communications with all stakeholders. Ability to quickly learn essential software for the role, such as Asana and MS Office (particularly Excel).
• Demonstrated experience in effectively managing budgets.
• Residing in one of Movement’s flagship markets: NYC, Baltimore/DC Area, Dallas, Denver, or Bay Area.
• Ability to regularly work in-person at gyms in the home region, approximately 50% of the time, to maintain an in-person presence with the team and other leaders, as well as to support projects as needed.
• Willingness to travel approximately once a month across Movement’s markets.
