This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Initiate lending and deposit opportunities related to ESOPs and employee ownership, encompassing buyouts, refinancings, recapitalizations, and growth financings.
• Establish referral connections with ESOP advisors, attorneys, trustees, valuation firms, investment bankers, and other key industry partners.
• Build a national pipeline for ESOP opportunities through networking, thought leadership, and active industry engagement.
• Act as the bank's representative at ESOP conferences, events, and educational gatherings.
• Serve as the primary relationship manager for ESOP clients, providing trusted advice to owners and employee-owned enterprises.
• Lead discussions regarding transaction structures, capital requirements, timelines, and the bank's stipulations.
• Oversee onboarding, documentation, and closing processes in collaboration with internal partners.
• Maintain enduring client relationships post-closing, adhering to high service standards.
• Direct deal structuring efforts alongside clients, ESOP advisors, and internal credit teams.
• Function as a liaison among clients, underwriting, credit, legal, and loan operations.
• Ensure accountability for the health of relationships, client satisfaction, and credit compliance.
• Collaborate on reviews, amendments, and ongoing monitoring efforts.
• Identify potential risks or growth opportunities and escalate issues as necessary.
• Support the creation of the bank’s ESOP lending strategy and market entry approach.
• Provide education to internal teams regarding ESOP structures, market trends, and client needs.
• Contribute to the establishment of best practices and scalable growth processes.
• Demonstrate a commitment to environmental, social, economic, and racial justice.
• Pursue educational opportunities related to sustainability practices.
• Comprehend and adhere to bank policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Safeguard the organization and its clients by identifying and reporting suspicious or fraudulent activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, or a related discipline.
• Over 8 years of experience in commercial banking or corporate finance.
• Proficient in ESOPs or complex middle-market lending structures.
• Demonstrated ability to source, manage, and finalize complex transactions.
• Previous experience in ESOP lending or advisory roles is preferred.
• Knowledge of ESOP trustees, valuation firms, and ERISA counsel is preferred.
• Experience in remote work environments or distributed teams is preferred.
• Proven success in building national referral networks is preferred.
