Director of Engineering – Global

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering managers across various teams.

• Establish clear expectations regarding delivery, quality, and team well-being.

• Oversee engineering execution, encompassing planning, delivery reliability, and inter-team coordination.

• Provide technical guidance on architecture, system reliability, and production challenges.

• Define and monitor engineering effectiveness metrics, enhancing how teams build and deploy, including through AI-assisted development.

• Collaborate with Product, Operations, and customer-focused teams to ensure alignment on priorities.

• Participate in customer discussions concerning complex integrations and technical escalations as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with substantial hands-on involvement.

• 4+ years of experience in engineering management, including overseeing other managers.

• Proven experience leading multiple engineering teams within a rapidly growing organization.

• Strong expertise in backend and API services, third-party system integrations, and automation in production environments.

• Background in building or leading teams that develop AI-powered products and automation.

• Experience in scaling an engineering organization through significant growth phases.

• Demonstrated history of enhancing delivery, accountability, and team performance.

• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including enterprise clients.

• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
