Director of Ecommerce

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Take charge of site performance, optimizing conversion rates and executing on-site campaigns for the DTC channel.

• Lead a compact, high-performing ecommerce team.

• Ensure the site is consistently primed for conversion: well-optimized, merchandised, and aligned with all campaigns.

• Manage key performance indicators including Shopify CVR, AOV, and on-site revenue.

• Drive structured A/B testing across product detail pages (PDPs), landing pages, collections, and the checkout process.

• Utilize analytics to identify and resolve friction points in the customer journey.

• Collaborate with the creative team to coordinate asset delivery schedules and on-site placements.

• Oversee the ecommerce marketing calendar from the perspective of site execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of ecommerce experience, with at least 3 years in a Shopify-centric DTC setting.

• Demonstrated, quantifiable success in enhancing CVR and AOV for a physical product brand.

• Practical experience in managing and mentoring direct reports, such as designers or listing managers.

• Extensive knowledge of Shopify: including theme management, app ecosystem, analytics, merchandising, and storefront optimization.

• Strong understanding of ecommerce metrics: CVR, AOV, LTV, MER, ROAS, and contribution margin.

• Proficient in A/B testing tools, heatmaps, session recordings, and analytics platforms (GA4, Triple Whale, or similar).

• Capable of functioning as both a strategist and executor: you create the plan and implement it.
