This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy targeting family foundations, family offices, donor advised funds, and high-net-worth individuals.
• Work collaboratively with executive leadership to align fundraising objectives with organizational planning and budgeting.
• Foster and maintain relationships with institutional funders.
• Identify and research potential donors while developing a strong donor pipeline.
• Assist the Founder and Executive Director during meetings with funders, pitches, and fundraising initiatives.
• Transform policy and media successes into fundraising prospects.
• Lead the planning and execution of fundraising dinners, gatherings, conferences, and events.
• Manage the stewardship and renewal processes for existing funder and donor contributions.
• Make direct requests for funder contributions.
• Oversee donor communications, including updates, briefings, memos, newsletters, and impact reports.
• Spearhead grant proposal development and manage the grant lifecycle.
• Prepare presentations, concept papers, proposals, budgets, and reports.
• Design scalable development systems, databases, CRM processes, and donor-tracking infrastructure.
• Assist in onboarding and mentoring new fundraising staff.
• Over 8 years of experience in fundraising.
• Proven track record of securing six- and seven-figure donations from family foundations, family offices, DAFs, and high-net-worth individual donors.
• Established relationships with family foundations, family offices, DAFs, and high-net-worth individual donors.
• Experience in managing substantial donor portfolios.
• Comfort and confidence in making direct asks for contributions.
• Demonstrated skills in donor stewardship and cultivation.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strategic capability to link programmatic goals with donor interests and priorities.
• Experience in crafting pitch decks, concept notes, and proposals.
• Strong emotional intelligence.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic, and uncertain startup environment.
• Capacity to identify priorities, work independently, and meet tight deadlines.
