• Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies for dental and ancillary products to achieve and surpass annual sales goals.
• Guide, mentor, train, and inspire a team of sales professionals, offering coaching, performance management, and opportunities for professional growth.
• Identify and nurture new business prospects, including lead generation, proposal development, and client outreach for both new and existing customers.
• Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with the sales team and lead team meetings; oversee weekly pipeline and dashboard reports; and engage in broader leadership discussions.
• Maintain and strengthen key client relationships to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
• Collaborate with underwriting, product development, and marketing teams to ensure competitive offerings and efficient sales support.
• Examine market trends, competitor actions, and customer demands to identify growth opportunities and enhance products.
• Prepare and deliver sales forecasts, reports, and performance metrics to senior management.
• Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and company policies in sales operations.
• Willingness to travel (25-50%) as necessary within the assigned sales region.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive sales experience is required.
• At least 3 years of sales leadership experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train, and develop high-achieving sales teams.
• Strong consultative selling and negotiation abilities, including expertise in complex proposal development.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and executive-level presentation skills.
• Data-driven decision-making capabilities and the ability to analyze sales metrics, market trends, and performance data.
• Proficient in relationship management with brokers, consultants, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Strong business insight with the ability to balance revenue growth, profitability, and client retention objectives.
• Extensive experience with enterprise CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to facilitate strategic decision-making and organizational leadership.
• Comprehensive understanding of dental insurance products, plan designs, pricing models, and competitive positioning.
• Strong grasp of broker and consultant distribution frameworks within the employer benefits landscape.
• Knowledge of sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance analysis.
• Familiarity with underwriting principles and their role in supporting competitive product offerings.
• Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards concerning insurance sales.
• Understanding of employer group benefits, renewals, and strategies for long-term client retention.
• Awareness of market trends, customer requirements, and changing industry dynamics impacting dental insurance.
