This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Overseeing the effective implementation of the multi-year Cyber Roadmap.
• Managing the strategy, operations, and budget of the information security function.
• Collaborating with key organizational leaders to further the objectives of the business and the Cyber Security Function.
• Creating strategic and tactical roadmaps aimed at enhancing information and cyber security technologies, services, policies, standards, and procedures to establish effective risk mitigation strategies and controls.
• Conducting regular security assessments and audits to detect potential security risks and vulnerabilities, and formulating strategies for mitigation.
• Working alongside IT Leadership, executive management, and other stakeholders to ensure that security initiatives align with business goals and objectives.
• Partnering with IT teams and other stakeholders to formulate and sustain a comprehensive enterprise incident response plan.
• Designing and implementing a robust security architecture for IT systems, networks, and applications, utilizing the latest security technologies and methodologies.
• Leading and actively managing security-related projects, including assessments, audits, penetration tests, and remediation initiatives.
• Contributing to IT infrastructure projects and activities related to information and cyber security.
• Developing, implementing, and updating enterprise security policies, standards, and procedures, along with other cyber security-related policies, including those concerning systems access, authentication, acceptable use, and artificial intelligence utilization.
• Supervising the monitoring, analysis, and mitigation of security incidents/breaches and their impact on the business.
• Collaborating with system owners and administrators to guarantee that new or updated solutions and services meet enterprise cyber security standards.
• Overseeing security assessments, audits, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans to identify vulnerabilities/risks and ensure ongoing security enhancement.
• Assessing third-party vendors and service providers for security compliance and ensuring that security requirements are integrated into vendor contracts.
• Creating security training and awareness programs in partnership with the IT Compliance Teams for employees, fostering a culture of security awareness and compliance throughout the enterprise.
• Defining Cyber Security KPIs and risk indicators and preparing regular updates.
• Keeping abreast of current and emerging security technologies, trends, and threats.
• Integrating relevant and suitable leading security technologies and practices into the enterprise's security architecture.
• Leading and managing the information security team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Developing and managing the information security budget to ensure effective resource allocation to address security needs.
• Over 10 years of experience in a leadership capacity within IT security, risk, and compliance.
• Preferred security certification (CISSP) and audit training.
