This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Lead and nurture a team of Cost Managers.
• Provide cost management services for a large-scale construction project.
• Ensure excellence in service delivery, promote the growth of the cost management offering, and foster client engagement.
• Oversee client communications and manage the cost management team's services.
• Investigate construction market conditions and analyze officially published data.
• Generate thought leadership reports focused on the construction market.
• Direct the strategic and operational management of Cost Management Services.
• Handle resource planning, financial oversight, business development, training, and personnel development.
• Establish team strategies and objectives aligned with the Business Plan.
• Cultivate talent and encourage learning, respect, and inclusiveness.
• Maintain knowledge management and disseminate commission learning internally.
• Identify and execute process enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and engage in ISO audits.
• Create priority plans, risk mitigation strategies, KPIs, management controls, and critical success factors.
• Conduct internal BMS audits and coordinate or represent the office during external audits.
• Enhance market understanding, act as a brand ambassador, and develop client opportunity pipelines.
• Pinpoint cross-selling opportunities.
• Participate in leadership and staff meetings and deliver engaging presentations.
• Monitor revenue, margins, monthly fees, and resource needs utilizing internal software.
• Prepare proposals and responses to RFPs.
• Attend networking and promotional events.
• Mentor and train staff while supporting their career development.
• Collaborate with talent acquisition to attract skilled professionals and plan staffing requirements.
• Comply with applicable SOX control responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related construction field.
• Over 15 years of relevant experience in cost management or quantity surveying.
• More than 2 years of experience managing high-performing cost management teams in a consulting setting.
• Previous experience in people management.
• Demonstrated success in delivering effective cost management services for clients.
• Strong business development skills and a desire to drive business growth.
• Significant experience in the construction sector with esteemed clients in commercial real estate, data centers, life sciences, industrial manufacturing, natural resources, or similar fields.
• Outstanding presentation, verbal, written, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Graduate degree in quantity surveying, cost management, construction management, or engineering is preferred.
