• **About the Role**
• Your Core Focus: You will oversee the entire finance function, establishing scalable systems, managing cash flow, driving profitability, and directing financial strategy to facilitate Hadley Designs’ upcoming growth phase.
• What You’ll Do:
• - Provide precise, audit-ready financial statements by the 20th of each month, ensuring complete account reconciliation with no significant errors.
• - Develop and sustain a 12-month rolling cash forecast, updated weekly, guaranteeing optimal liquidity and transparency.
• - Spearhead the annual budgeting and forecasting process across all departments, maintaining a variance of ≤10% between forecasted and actual results.
• - Create automated systems and workflows that minimize manual reporting time by at least 25% within your first year.
• - Collaborate with leadership to execute initiatives aimed at enhancing profitability and improving EBITDA by 2 percentage points within your initial 12 months.
• - Formulate and document SOPs for closing, forecasting, cash flow management, and reporting processes.
• - Introduce new systems for expense management, travel, and purchasing by Month 6.
• - Generate insightful financial dashboards and KPIs to support enhanced decision-making.
• - Work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Operations to synchronize growth, cash flow, and inventory planning.
• - Assess technology solutions (ERP, reporting tools) that position the company for scalability.
• **How Success Is Measured:**
• - 100% of monthly financials provided on time and without errors.
• - 0 overdrafts, late fees, or missed payments.
• - ≤10% variance between forecasted and actual EBITDA.
• - 12-month rolling cash forecast maintained on a weekly basis.
• - SOPs for all finance processes documented within 3 months.
• - System enhancements leading to a 25% reduction in manual work in Year 1.
• - Trailing 12-month EBITDA margin increased by 2 points within the first year.
• **You bring:**
• - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA or CPA strongly preferred).
• - 5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• - Demonstrated success in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• - Experience in implementing scalable systems and automation in expanding organizations.
• - Strong understanding of GAAP, compliance, and tax regulations.
• - Proficiency in tools like Xero, QuickBooks, or advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
• - Exceptional analytical and communication skills; you have the ability to simplify complexity.
• - Experience in e-commerce or multi-channel retail (preferred).
• - A collaborative mindset and the confidence to influence decisions at the executive level.
