Director of Corporate Development – 12-Month FTC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Play a crucial role in guiding the long-term strategic vision of the company.

• Lead significant projects involving mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic alliances, and capital financing.

• Own and refine the Group’s comprehensive three-statement financial model to facilitate capital raising, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.

• Oversee all capital-raising and refinancing initiatives, collaborating closely with the Treasury team.

• Manage and nurture essential relationships with debt providers, investment banks, and other financial stakeholders.

• Develop detailed balance sheet and cash flow forecasts for the CFO and external lenders.

• Drive the complete M&A lifecycle, including sourcing, evaluation, due diligence, negotiation, and closing.

• Build and sustain a robust pipeline of potential acquisition targets and strategic partners.

• Create thorough investment cases and financial models for potential acquisitions, delivering clear recommendations to the executive team.

• Serve as the primary lead on M&A and financing processes, preparing and presenting materials for the Board, investors, lenders, and regulators.

• Monitor and analyze the performance of publicly listed competitors and significant market trends to identify both risks and opportunities.

• Proven experience in corporate development, investment banking, or strategic finance, with a solid record of leading and executing M&A transactions.

• Expert-level proficiency in three-statement financial modeling, valuation, and forecasting.

• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with a proven capacity to translate intricate financial analyses into actionable insights for executive audiences.

• A strategic mindset capable of evaluating opportunities from both quantitative and qualitative angles.

• Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams on complex, high-stakes projects.

• An established network within the financial community, including investment banks and institutional lenders, is highly desirable.
