This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of consultant influence and pipeline results for your designated territory: Develop and implement a territory strategy that fosters ongoing consultant engagement and creates new opportunities referred by consultants, in alignment with revenue objectives.
• Cultivate strong connections within leading consulting and brokerage firms: Establish and enhance senior-level relationships across key firms and regional offices to foster a preference for Sword and increase our involvement in evaluations and RFPs.
• Strategically expand office-level coverage: Identify and nurture vital stakeholders within each firm (such as practice leaders, subject matter experts, producers, and regional influencers) to build lasting, multi-threaded relationships.
• Empower consultants to confidently advocate for Sword: Provide clear, consultant-ready messaging through various channels, including meetings, demonstrations, lunch & learns, email campaigns, and other interactions, enabling consultants to accurately and credibly recommend Sword to employers.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to expedite opportunities: Work closely with Sales and Customer Success to support ongoing initiatives, align consultant strategies with account priorities, and ensure consistent messaging throughout the entire buyer journey.
• Enhance consultant program participation and executive engagement: Bolster Sword’s standing within consulting firm vendor programs and facilitate executive meetings to discuss market trends, successes, and joint growth prospects.
• Energize the market through events and strategic engagements: Organize and execute targeted events (such as office visits, executive sessions, and regional gatherings) aimed at strengthening relationships and generating pipeline, with defined objectives and follow-up actions.
• Uphold operational discipline and CRM rigor: Monitor relationship activities, influence, and outcomes using Salesforce (or a similar CRM), ensure accurate forecasting, and maintain data integrity and hygiene.
• Over 6 years of experience engaging with major benefits consulting and/or brokerage firms (e.g., WTW, Aon, Mercer, Lockton, Gallagher, USI, HUB, MMA), with a comprehensive understanding of how consultants influence employer decisions.
• Demonstrated capability to build influential relationships that result in business success, including pipeline development, referrals, and inclusion in evaluations.
• Strong business development acumen, encompassing prospecting, multi-threading relationships, and extending presence across various offices and stakeholder groups.
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, capable of articulating complex solutions clearly and leading impactful meetings with senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable operating in a metrics-oriented, revenue-focused role, including responsibility for a territory plan, pipeline management, and forecast accuracy.
• Proficient in using Salesforce or a similar CRM to oversee contacts, opportunities, reporting, and data accuracy.
• A proactive self-starter: possesses high ownership, intellectual curiosity, and is motivated by building within a dynamic environment.
