This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Maintain a roadmap for M&A priorities, including the identification, prioritization, and management of the pipeline across essential Value Creation Plan objectives.

• Develop and continuously enhance acquisition theses that align with product strategy and competitive positioning in a dynamic technology and IP solutions environment.

• Establish and cultivate relationships with management teams of key priority targets as well as industry bankers to uncover actionable opportunities and/or secure exclusive acquisition negotiations.

• Oversee all phases of the transaction process: initial outreach and NDA, financial modeling and valuation, board updates and approvals, due diligence and joint business planning, and deal execution.

• Construct intricate financial models to assess deal economics, highlight key value drivers, and quantify synergies across various investment case scenarios.

• Facilitate joint business planning with target management to validate models and align on post-deal operational priorities.

• Manage both external and internal stakeholders to carry out commercial, financial, tax, product/technical, and legal due diligence.

• Create acquisition case deliverables for presentation to the Executive Leadership Team and the Board.

• Develop and oversee the execution of post-close integration plans in collaboration with functional leaders, ensuring rapid and effective operationalization of value creation drivers.

• Monitor key deal metrics, integration milestones, and synergy realization after acquisition, reporting progress to the Executive Leadership Team and the Board.


⛳️ Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or management consulting, with direct M&A deal experience essential.

• Proven history of leading software and services transactions from sourcing through to closing.

• Strategic thinker with outstanding financial modeling abilities and strong business acumen.

• Strong executive presence and the capability to present confidently to Executive and Board-level audiences.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to distill complex analyses into clear and compelling narratives.

• Highly organized self-starter capable of managing multiple workstreams under time constraints.

• Preferred domain knowledge in intellectual property management, legal technology, and enterprise SaaS.

• Experience with a PE-backed or high-growth technology company is preferred.

• An MBA or JD from a top-tier institution is preferred.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% as required by deal activity.
