Director of Carrier Managed Service Portfolio and Offer Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee the creation, development, and execution of the managed services portfolio strategy for telecommunications service providers, carriers, and network operators on a global scale.

• Update the service catalogue and launch managed service offerings that align with partner and provider objectives.

• Facilitate collaboration across various functions including Account Management, Product Line Management, Partner Programs, Regional Leaders, and CMS Business Development Consultants.

• Foster relationships with service providers and operators in accordance with business growth strategies.

• Spearhead thought leadership initiatives that engage stakeholders and promote business expansion.

• Lead the development of sales enablement strategies and prioritize resources across partner programs and regional teams.

• Relay performance metrics to leadership to aid in accelerating sales within the Ciena Partner Network ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in telecom sales, business development, product management, or channel management.

• Proven experience with both direct and indirect sales strategies, channel programs, and partner ecosystems.

• Skilled in business development, consultative sales, and partner management practices.

• Knowledge of telecommunications technologies such as optical transport, Carrier Ethernet, IP, and wave services.

• Proven track record of growing service provider business relationships and sustaining long-term partner engagement.

• Proficient in applying commercial and financial analysis to strategies for business growth.

• Experience operating within global cross-functional matrix environments.

• Knowledge of telecommunications managed services, product lifecycle management, and market opportunity assessment.
