• Develop and implement a comprehensive enterprise business intelligence (BI) strategy that supports digital transformation objectives, complete with measurable success criteria and an actionable roadmap.
• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary BI team encompassing data engineering, Power BI development, analytics, and project execution, utilizing consistent standards, coaching, and performance management techniques.
• Collaborate with business and technology leaders to pinpoint high-value analytics opportunities, convert requirements into defined tasks, and promote adoption through effective change management strategies.
• Supervise modern data engineering initiatives within Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks, to ensure secure, dependable data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.
• Direct data platform architecture and reusable data product methodologies, such as lakehouse and medallion approaches, to enhance scalability, cost efficiency, and speed to insight.
• Standardize Power BI semantic models, dashboards, reporting templates, and workspace design to facilitate self-service analytics while ensuring performance, governance, and consistency are maintained.
• Manage BI program governance covering intake, prioritization, delivery, vendor coordination, and executive communication, emphasizing measurable outcomes, risk assessment, and return on investment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data roles, including at least 5 years in leadership positions or managing enterprise programs.
• Practical expertise in building and operating solutions with ADF, Databricks, Azure SQL technologies, and Microsoft Power BI in live environments.
• Proven experience in designing and managing enterprise data pipelines, data models, and semantic layers that scale across various domains and stakeholder groups.
• Familiarity with data governance and data quality principles, including access controls, stewardship, lineage concepts, and compliance-focused delivery.
• Established ability to manage a BI portfolio, prioritize tasks based on impact, and execute complex initiatives with disciplined execution.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to convey technical subjects into clear decisions, trade-offs, and outcomes.
