Senior BI Analyst – Technology Segment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create and manage reports, dashboards, and semantic models in Power BI, ensuring the deliverables are high-performing, user-friendly, and reliable;

• Design and execute tabular models, which include dimensional modeling, hierarchies, and DAX measures;

• Oversee the migration of legacy architectures from Azure Analysis Services to Power BI Premium / Fabric;

• Convert business requirements into analytical solutions, working collaboratively with stakeholders to guarantee that the delivered data provides tangible value;

• Administer the lifecycle of semantic models: deployment, versioning, partition updates, performance monitoring, and workspace management in the Power BI Service;

• Enforce and maintain data security policies at both the row-level (RLS) and object-level, ensuring compliance with the access rules of each client or department;

• Conduct data transformations and cleansing using Power Query with SQL and/or M;

• Enhance models and DAX measures to ensure optimal performance with large data sets, utilizing best practices for compression and cardinality;

• Work in conjunction with data engineers and architects to define the data layers that support analytical models (gold/semantic);

• Document models, measures, and development standards, aiding in the standardization and advancement of the team’s BI practices;

• Assist in pre-sales and technical qualification activities by preparing proofs of concept and demonstrations of analytical solutions for clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in developing reports and dashboards using Power BI (Desktop and Service)

• Advanced proficiency in DAX (complex measures, time intelligence functions, performance optimization)

• Experience with dimensional modeling

• Proficient in Power Query / M for data transformation and cleansing

• Familiarity with Azure Analysis Services (AAS) (deployment, managing tabular models, partitioning)

• Experience in publishing, versioning, and managing workspaces in the Power BI Service

• Understanding of RLS (Row-Level Security)

• Knowledge of SQL.
