📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with the Head of Solutions to strategize, develop, and implement the growth plan for Healthcare accounts, driving initiatives for business development in healthcare and making ongoing enhancements to meet or surpass revenue generation objectives.

• Identify key contracting opportunities and maintain a strategic pipeline for the next two years.

• Plan, coordinate, manage, and execute all activities related to healthcare business development, including customer interactions, proposal drafting, competitive assessments, capture strategy development and execution, budget and pricing formulation, and more.

• Establish a pipeline of opportunities and analyze them to offer Coforma leadership a variety of options and the most effective strategies to secure successful outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the organization, including Account Management, PMO, Finance, Delivery, and other subject-matter experts.

• Recognize trends in customer purchasing behaviors and implement targeted strategies to help the business development team capture a larger share of the market.

• Proactively introduce new ideas and spearhead business planning initiatives with clients to foster, develop, and maintain long-term, mutually beneficial client relationships.

• Create and regularly update formal reviews of Lead & Opportunity pursuits according to our methodologies, tools, or other resource systems.

• Cultivate and sustain deep relationships with influencers both within and outside the client organization, leveraging these connections and insights to enhance Coforma’s positioning for targeted pursuits.

• Identify and engage potential teaming partners (OEMs, primes, subcontractors, etc.) while clearly understanding their complementary and strategic value to Coforma’s focus areas.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Coforma’s capabilities and their significance to our customers, participating as a subject matter expert throughout the business development and proposal processes.

• Oversee the preparation of briefs and materials to support proposal development and submission for Task Orders, RFIs, and RFPs.

• Conduct research and prepare proposal elements such as opportunity briefs, proposal kick-off briefs, RFP/RFQ responses, market research, capability statements, and more.

• Represent the company at customer meetings, business reviews, industry days, and external networking opportunities, conferences, and events as required.

• Collaborate with relevant resources to facilitate necessary legal and financial agreements, such as NDAs and teaming agreements, prior to RFP release.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development selling digital services (design, software development, product management, etc.) to clients in the federal, state/local, or commercial healthcare sectors.

• Extensive knowledge and experience working with US federal agencies (particularly CMS, as well as the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and similar healthcare-oriented agencies).

• Understanding of how federal, commercial, or non-profit organizations procure, manage, and allocate funding/budgets.

• Familiarity with federal contract vehicles and acquisition strategies such as GSA MAS/FSS, GWACs, IDIQs, set-aside, sole-source, and multiple-award contracts.

• Knowledge of SBA small business concerns, size classifications, NAICS Codes, beta.SAM.gov, and related areas.

• Previous experience conducting market and industry research analyses, as well as identifying, qualifying, and pursuing business development opportunities in healthcare technology.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and client relationship skills, with a proven ability to adapt verbal and written communication to a diverse range of stakeholders, especially at the senior level.

• Must be a full-time resident of the contiguous United States (must be legally authorized to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship).

• Ability to successfully pass any applicable background and/or security checks as required.
