Director of Business Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Track data originating from warehouse and operational systems via ETL pipelines, data lakes, enterprise platforms, and reporting layers.

• Evaluate warehouse operations, customer interactions, labor, inventory management, productivity, service delivery, and financial results.

• Create scalable data models, architectures, workflows, and governance frameworks.

• Collaborate with operations, technology, finance, customer teams, and functional leaders to enhance processes and ensure data integrity.

• Define business logic, metric definitions, and data lineage for essential enterprise KPIs.

• Design systems that support analytics, AI-driven workflows, automated data ingestion, and intelligent applications.

• Develop and present dashboards and analytical products for operational leaders, executives, customers, and other stakeholders.

• Create visualizations for labor productivity, inventory accuracy, throughput, occupancy, order performance, service quality, and customer profitability.

• Assess dashboard usage and enhance analytical products based on user decision-making.

• Convert data into actionable insights that enhance operational and financial performance.

• Identify factors that influence productivity, service quality, labor efficiency, customer value, and profitability.

• Define and implement the company’s enterprise analytics, AI, and intelligent automation strategy.

• Discover AI use cases across warehouse operations, customer service, forecasting, labor management, commercial functions, and enterprise processes.

• Assess, implement, and prototype AI tools and scalable business capabilities.

• Act as a strategic partner to executives, general managers, operational leaders, and customer-facing teams.

• Lead cross-functional initiatives that encompass data architecture, process enhancement, analytics, and technology.

• Establish standards for data quality, analytical design, metric consistency, and insights delivery.

• Represent RealCold in external discussions with customers regarding analytics, data integration, reporting, and technology capabilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics.

• At least five years of experience in business analytics, data architecture, data engineering, operational analytics, or a related field.

• Extensive experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ideally Blue Yonder or Extensiv.

• Proficient SQL skills for analyzing complex data structures, validating logic, detecting anomalies, and developing scalable data models.

• Familiarity with enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar technologies.

• Strong understanding of ETL processes, data orchestration, and data transformation.

• Experience in designing dashboards for executives, operations, and customers.

• Capability to identify business insights and convert analysis into operational or financial value.

• Knowledge of modern AI tools, intelligent agents, and AI-compatible data architecture.

• Ability to lead by influence across technical, operational, and executive stakeholder groups.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.

• Ability to distill technical and operational complexities into clear recommendations and business narratives.

• Proficient in Python for data analysis, automation, integration, modeling, or application development.

• Experience with complex operational data, preferably in logistics, warehousing, supply chain, manufacturing, retail, or another process-intensive sector.

• Ability to investigate data, write queries, create prototypes, and address detailed operational issues.

• Capability to drive process changes across teams without relying solely on formal authority.

• Ability to link analyses and technology choices to broader enterprise objectives.

• Confidence in interacting with senior leadership and external clients.

• Must be able to pass a background check.

• Ability to perform well under pressure.

• Ability to sit for extended periods and continuously speak, hear, type, write, and read.
