This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the sales function from strategy formulation to execution, collaborating closely with regional sales teams, channel partners, marketing, product management, engineering, operations, finance, and service.
• Create and implement a comprehensive AV sales strategy that aligns with Daktronics’ growth, revenue, and profitability goals.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales leaders and professionals to meet both individual and team performance objectives.
• Foster disciplined pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, territory planning, and prioritization of pursuits throughout the AV sales organization.
• Cultivate and enhance relationships with key customers, consultants, end users, integrators, and channel partners within the AV ecosystem.
• Collaborate with marketing and product management to synchronize go-to-market strategies, messaging, demand generation, and product positioning with customer and industry requirements.
• Assist in high-value, strategic customer engagements, including managing executive-level relationships, providing negotiation support, and advancing complex opportunities.
• Keep abreast of market trends, competitive activities, channel dynamics, and customer requirements to identify opportunities, risks, and investment priorities.
• Work cross-functionally to enhance quoting, proposal quality, customer responsiveness, delivery alignment, and overall commercial execution.
• Ensure the consistent application of CRM tools, sales processes, reporting standards, and commercial policies across the team.
• Participate in organizational planning, talent development, and strategic decision-making as a senior sales leader.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive sales experience, including substantial leadership roles in AV, technology, capital equipment, or complex solution-based selling environments.
• Proven success in leading and developing sales teams and leaders to achieve profitable growth.
• Strong knowledge of consultative sales, channel sales, direct sales, and multi-stakeholder purchasing processes.
• Experience in building relationships with integrators, consultants, end users, and other key stakeholders in the AV industry.
• Solid business acumen, including forecasting, pipeline management, margin awareness, territory planning, and discipline in the sales process.
• Capacity to work effectively across functions and influence decisions in a matrixed environment.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and executive relationship skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and market insights for decision-making and performance enhancement.
• Familiarity with Daktronics customers, products, systems, and processes, or the aptitude to quickly acquire that knowledge.
• The selected candidate must be willing to travel by air and ground and adhere to the Daktronics Driver Eligibility Policy to initiate and maintain employment.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
• Candidates must be 18 years of age or older.
