This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a strategic data partner for Delegate Vice Presidents and leadership teams, converting centralized data dashboards and tools into actionable local insights.
• Deliver business intelligence and advanced data analysis to facilitate data-driven decision-making at the delegate level.
• Evaluate key metrics related to enrollment, attendance, screenings, family engagement, education, health, and more, identifying trends that inform planning and performance discussions.
• Assess and interpret delegate progress towards school readiness goals, child outcome data, and family engagement metrics to aid programmatic decision-making and planning.
• Contribute to each delegate's annual planning cycle by supplying data insights and summaries that inform goal-setting, service area priorities, and program strategies.
• Provide timely responses to ad hoc data and analysis requests from leadership, service area leads, and program managers.
• Develop visual summaries, presentation-ready charts, and written insights to assist local decision-making, board presentations, and internal data reviews.
• Engage in delegate-level or organization-wide research and strategic initiatives by analyzing trends, compiling data sets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to generate insights.
• Offer continuous training and coaching to delegate staff on understanding, interpreting, and effectively utilizing data and business intelligence tools.
• Ensure prompt and accurate reporting in compliance with Head Start Program Performance Standards and local licensing requirements.
• Partner with the centralized data team to guarantee the readiness and accuracy of data submissions for the Program Information Report (PIR), Federal Monitoring Review (FMR), and other required reports.
• Aid in the completion of the annual Self-Assessment and CEEDS-related activities across assigned delegates, including data collection, documentation, audits, upload support, and compliance monitoring.
• Collaborate with the Senior Director, Data & Performance, and the Manager of Data Design & Reporting to assist in the design, development, and refinement of standardized dashboards and reports, ensuring they address both compliance and operational needs based on delegate priorities and policy changes.
• Support the implementation and training on tools and resources, ensuring ongoing use and understanding of dashboards by local teams, while providing coaching, clarification, and hands-on technical support as necessary.
• Foster data literacy by guiding staff in integrating data use into planning, coaching, and monitoring.
• Enhance delegate capacity through data coaching and professional development focused on business intelligence and performance improvement.
• Lead local data quality initiatives by ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all delegate-level data.
• Identify and resolve data discrepancies in collaboration with local teams while escalating systemic issues to the centralized Data & Performance team.
• Conduct routine audits of delegate-level data systems and reporting processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency with organizational standards.
• Ensure local data practices (data entry, tracking, and analysis) conform to organizational governance standards.
• Support the standardization of delegate-level reporting and monitoring tools by reviewing local practices, aligning them with centralized definitions and templates, and communicating needs for tool refinement or consolidation to the centralized Data & Performance team.
• Ensure compliance with—and contribute to—the standardization of reporting definitions, tools, and practices across delegates.
• Engage in continuous improvement of reporting and monitoring tools by identifying delegate-level challenges, proposing enhancements, and collaborating with centralized data and compliance teams to inform updates.
• Participate in project teams assigned to design, refine, and implement tools and dashboards that serve both compliance and operational decision-making across the network.
• Collaborate with local leadership teams across assigned delegates and Directors of Monitoring & Compliance to align performance data with safety, licensing, and risk mitigation priorities.
• Partner with the PIIS team to provide coaching, technical assistance, and implementation tracking through effective use of data tools.
• Attend planning, compliance, and leadership meetings at each assigned delegate to ensure data is integrated into decision-making at all levels.
• Support local data-informed decision-making routines and leadership team meetings where performance metrics are reviewed and actions are tracked.
• Maintain a service-oriented approach, addressing data needs with timeliness, clarity, and alignment to delegate priorities.
• Participate in required meetings, events, and training sessions.
• A Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, education policy, social sciences, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is highly advantageous.
• At least three (3) years of experience in data analysis, program evaluation, or performance management.
• Proficiency in using Google Sheets, Excel, SQL, or data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience in Head Start, K-12, or social services is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in providing training or coaching on data use, analytics, or business intelligence tools.
• A physical exam and background checks are mandatory for this position.
• Local or long-distance travel may be required up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.
• A valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation are essential.
