This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Take full responsibility for revenue management within the AdOps function, ensuring achievement of quarterly and annual revenue goals while driving quarter-on-quarter growth.
• Actively uncover and highlight upsell, cross-sell, and additional revenue prospects based on campaign performance metrics, inventory availability, and client interaction trends.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to establish a systematic pipeline of additional requests—organizing underutilized inventory, high-performing placements, and audience extensions into practical upsell suggestions.
• Monitor and report on revenue performance, campaigns at risk, and growth potential as part of routine leadership and Executive Leadership Team reporting schedules.
• Cultivate a business acumen within the AdOps team—ensuring each campaign manager comprehends the revenue implications of their delivery choices, beyond just operational processes.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of operational expenses, gross margins, and cost-per-delivery across all campaign categories and channels.
• Regularly assess the vendor and ad technology stack for cost-effectiveness—actively pursuing less expensive yet equally effective alternatives for ad serving, verification, data, and programmatic partnerships.
• Negotiate vendor agreements and renewals with a focus on margin, benchmarking costs against industry norms and internal return on investment expectations.
• Develop and sustain a cost-of-delivery model that provides leadership insight into margin trends, cost influencers, and optimization prospects.
• Oversee budgets and expenditures related to ad operations, collaborating with Finance to ensure precise forecasting and reporting.
• Take charge of training the Sales team to effectively position, pitch, and market Display advertising products—ensuring that sellers are well-versed in inventory, targeting capabilities, performance metrics, and competitive advantages.
• Supervise the comprehensive execution of digital advertising campaigns, including creative trafficking, targeting, pacing, troubleshooting, and performance reporting across display, native, newsletter, and programmatic channels.
• Implement and uphold comprehensive QA standards throughout the campaign lifecycle—from creative intake and trafficking setup to delivery, reporting, and closure—ensuring flawless transitions to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Optimize ad inventory utilization across Spiceworks.com properties, tracking sell-through rates, monitoring availability, and communicating performance expectations to Sales and Finance stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ad operations specialists, offering guidance, feedback, and opportunities for growth.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in Ad Operations, including a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record of revenue ownership—experience managing delivery against revenue objectives with accountability for growth, not just fulfillment.
• Expertise in Google Ad Manager 360, encompassing trafficking, reporting, forecasting, and troubleshooting.
• Practical experience with programmatic buying and selling (DSP/SSP ecosystems).
• Strong analytical capabilities with advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, data modeling).
• Experience managing revenue pipelines and campaign data within Salesforce or a similar CRM.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Cross-functional adaptability with a proven track record of collaborating effectively with Sales, Finance, Product, and Engineering teams.
• Awareness of costs and margins—experience in evaluating vendor economics, negotiating contracts, and optimizing operational expenses.
• Proactive, systems-thinking approach—develops processes that avert issues rather than merely responding to them.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
