This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee a client portfolio, acting as their main accountant and primary contact.
• Execute monthly bookkeeping duties such as bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Create and present monthly financial statements to clients.
• Accurately process client payroll in a timely manner.
• Prepare and evaluate accounts payable (AP) reports.
• Prepare and assess accounts receivable (AR) reports.
• Examine expense categories for accuracy and consistency on a monthly basis.
• Direct software implementations for clients, including setup, configuration, and training on accounting systems.
• Design and execute accounting processes and workflows customized to client requirements.
• Hold regular meetings with clients to review financials, discuss deliverables, and address any questions or concerns.
• Proactively communicate with clients about deadlines, deliverables, and any issues that may arise.
• Ensure the accuracy of all bookkeeping conducted by team members prior to client delivery.
• Review and approve financial statements prepared by team members.
• Monitor all client deliverables—personal and team-related—and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
• Address escalated client concerns from team members and work swiftly to resolve issues.
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 5-7 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity is required.
• In-depth knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial statement preparation, payroll processing, and AP/AR management is essential.
• Experience in implementing or configuring accounting software for clients is advantageous.
• Proven ability to manage multiple clients and projects concurrently while meeting all deadlines.
• Regular attendance and reliability are crucial for this position.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with clients and team members are necessary.
• Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are required.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is mandatory.
• Familiarity with payroll systems and project management tools is preferred.
• Experience in coordinating with remote team members across various time zones is desirable.
• A valid driver's license and dependable transportation are necessary for client site visits.
