This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Ensures adherence to both state and federal regulations.
• Enhances the hospital's visibility by engaging with the community regarding needs related to mental health and substance abuse.
• May oversee the nursing management team where licensed and appropriate.
• Serves as a liaison among physicians, patients, referral sources, and staff members.
• Guarantees that inpatient programs are adequately staffed with the necessary resources to deliver high-quality care.
• Manages the Infection Control Plan and understands the Infection Control Monitors along with the JC Standards related to Infection Control.
• Achieves the hospital's staffing and budget targets.
• Ensures sufficient supervision and evaluation processes for all staff and delegates these responsibilities as fitting.
• Aids in the orientation process for new employees.
• Regularly assesses job assignments and the utilization of staff.
• Monitors the hospital's quality/risk program as necessary.
• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of all regulatory standards, including TJC, Medicaid, state, and federal laws.
• Collaborates with hospital staff to identify risk/safety issues and leads the team in taking corrective actions when required.
• Gathers and analyzes data regarding hospital performance.
• Compiles incident reports; records, analyzes, investigates data, and presents findings to the Quality Council and CEO.
• Applies the PDCA method to create improvement plans for the hospital.
• Exemplifies excellent customer service and holds all staff accountable to this standard.
• Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; a Master’s degree in Nursing is preferred, along with experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility, particularly working directly with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, and geriatric patients.
• Experience in healthcare quality, conducting patient assessments, motivating families, treatment planning, and communicating with external review organizations or comparable entities is essential.
• Prior leadership experience is highly preferred.
• An active RN license is required, with a willingness to obtain a Compact license in various states as necessary.
• CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) must be completed within 30 days.
