This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Develop and implement a business strategy and execution plan for designated commercial, federal, and state government payer markets aimed at reducing access barriers through efficient and transparent coverage, ensuring seamless patient access to therapy.
• Promote education in collaboration with commercial leadership and other members of the Value & Access team regarding activities in the commercial, federal, and state marketplaces, offering recommendations for their successful integration to enhance appropriate usage.
• Implement and assist with any required commercial or government contracts to optimize reimbursement and product accessibility.
• Remain informed about the ongoing evolution of trends and policies related to commercial, federal, and state government access markets.
• Develop and revise business strategies and plans as necessary.
• Facilitate communication regarding this segment among all relevant stakeholders.
• Build essential relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders within this segment.
• Position Zydus Therapeutics as a strategic partner for commercial, federal, and state clients.
• Proactively address any identified coverage issues and market access challenges within specific payer segments.
• Lead efforts to cultivate or enhance long-term executive-level account relationships with targeted accounts.
• Collaborate with brand and medical teams to continuously improve stakeholder relationships.
• Attend significant trade meetings (e.g., PCMA, AMCP), POAs, and sales meetings.
• Develop an internal triage process in conjunction with field leadership to address coverage issues, including denials or appeals, along with plans for remediation.
• Bachelor’s Degree is required, with a preference for an advanced degree.
• Over 10 years of demonstrated experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry in Market Access or account management, ideally with rare or specialty pharmaceuticals.
• Extensive and in-depth customer-facing relationship experience with one or more national accounts (e.g., CVS, ESI, UHG).
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences and influence cross-functionally.
• Proven negotiation abilities and problem-solving skills.
• A solid history of achieving successful formulary coverage at assigned accounts.
• Experience with rare or specialty oral launches (pharmacy benefit) is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to analyze data effectively to identify trends and inform strategy.
• In-depth insight into Medicare, Medicaid, and other government channels is essential.
• Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively, addressing immediate needs while keeping long-term strategies in focus.
• Must possess comprehensive knowledge of current trends in the commercial, federal, and state marketplaces, along with an understanding of existing healthcare regulations, contracting, and reimbursement.
