This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Oversee ZEISS’s collaboration with major accounts, including contract negotiations, assortment planning, pricing strategies, and execution of joint business initiatives.
• Manage existing national clientele.
• Seek and cultivate potential partnerships with new clients.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with leadership on key accounts to assess performance, growth opportunities, and collaboration strategies.
• Develop and spearhead a cohesive retail growth strategy that aligns with ZEISS’s premium brand positioning.
• Achieve and surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals as set forth by the VP/SVP/President.
• Initiate, organize, and facilitate business interactions between CZV and National Accounts, including quarterly and annual business reviews and planning.
• Create and present impactful, customer-focused, and financially viable proposals and presentations.
• Ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities among all direct and indirect reports; provide ongoing, constructive performance feedback (both informal and formal).
• Develop and plan key product initiatives and go-to-market strategies to meet customer goals and CZV revenue/profit targets, including RFPs and pricing strategies.
• Provide clear guidance and alignment on Customer KPIs and enhance internal communication with all relevant cross-functional teams; monitor, track, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare sales and volume forecasts to support budget and demand planning cycles, providing timely updates to the VP to ensure alignment with plans.
• Collect and analyze competitive data; share findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Marketing on the creation of co-branded consumer campaigns highlighting ZEISS lens innovation and quality.
• Coordinate with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure optimal product availability, pricing accuracy, service levels, and inventory turnover.
• Work alongside Product and Digital teams to integrate ZEISS technologies into retail environments.
• Manage office facilities and administrative tasks (if applicable).
• Adhere to safety standards and report any safety issues to leadership.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of account management experience in the ophthalmic industry, specifically managing large retail accounts;
• Experience in the CPG or related consumer products sector will be considered.
• Must have direct experience working for or engaging customers at the VP or Sr. Director level with established relationships among key customer decision-makers.
• Experience in an FDA-approved, highly regulated product category (e.g., consumer healthcare products such as OTC medicines, diabetes test strips, or blood pressure monitors) is required.
• Proven success in developing strategies that enable others to secure new business and enhance market share.
• Demonstrated success in managing RFP processes under tight deadlines.
• A proven track record of complex negotiations resulting in long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
• High integrity and discernment—capable of evaluating and declining opportunities that do not align with brand or ethical standards.
