This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +9 more states.
• Develop strategies and tactics that align with the overall product objectives for national and regional payers (both commercial and government), key health systems, integrated delivery networks, and other significant emerging customers as identified.
• Spearhead engagement and execution with national payer accounts and pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), including formulary positioning, negotiations regarding coverage, and contract strategy.
• Create a tactical plan and execution strategy in collaboration with Market Access leadership, as well as Medical, Marketing, and Sales teams as necessary.
• Analyze and comprehend the oncology market access landscape.
• Act as a subject matter expert regarding the market access environment, including evolving pricing, payment, and reimbursement models.
• Serve as a strategic leader within the commercial organization regarding reimbursement matters.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders on account strategy, plans, and execution.
• Conduct a variety of market, financial, competitive, and industry analyses for designated areas of responsibility.
• Seek, value, and act upon feedback from both internal and external stakeholders.
• Exercise sound judgment and oversight to maintain integrity and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, along with corporate policies in all activities and communications.
• Ensure that necessary information and resources are accessible to adequately support the financial coverage needs of patients who are candidates for marketed and pipeline products.
• Attend and engage in meetings and conferences as required.
• Previous experience presenting Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) and budget impact modeling to payers is essential.
• Prior experience with the launch of oncology and/or products for small patient or rare disease populations is preferred.
• Established connections with national commercial payers, PBMs, and government accounts (such as CMS and VA/DoD), with a demonstrated ability to influence coverage decisions.
• Familiarity with both national and regional commercial payer plans.
• Ability to build and strengthen customer relationships with industry influencers, complex payer stakeholders, and key strategic partners.
• Experience in developing and executing comprehensive business development plans, budgets, and programs, both short-term and mid-range, to support the commercial and revenue goals of the organization.
• Proficiency in effective communication, both verbally and in writing.
• Capability to deliver reports, plans, and presentations to various audience types in a compelling and enthusiastic manner.
• Strong understanding of trends, issues, and policies affecting oncology care sites, including both community and institutional settings.
• Knowledge of emerging oncology payer reimbursement models, including guidelines, compendium, and clinical pathway implementation.
• Previous experience in negotiating PBM contracts is preferred.
